TWO northern artists and a poet have come together to create art studio and gallery at Soughbridge Mill in Sough.

Soulspace is an art studio and gallery where people can view the work-in-progress of the resident artists and nurture their own creativity through weekly art workshops catering for all abilities.

There is plenty of contrast in the artwork on show with Michael Howley’s atmospheric paintings, Jacqueline Smith’s colourful and lively textile pieces and Jo Lewis’s haunting poetry and evocative photography.

The artists were first attracted to the mill by the growing number of creative industries there.

Visible from Colne Road, the mill is viewed as a stop off point for visitors to Skipton, Barnoldswick and Colne.

The studio is open to visitors from 12.30pm to 4.30pm on Monday, Tuesday and Friday as well as most Saturdays.

The weekly art workshops are run by Michael Howley on Thursdays with a choice of morning, afternoon or evening sessions.
