CRAVEN features heavily in a winter exhibition of art which is running in Settle until two days before Christmas.
A number of works at the Gavagan Art Gallery in Settle Town Hall feature landscapes, and are put together
using a wide variety of techniques.
The high upland areas of Craven are represented by Frank Gordon’s oil painting of Penyghent and abstract drawings by Grassington-based artist Jacquie Denby.
This winter exhibition includes several-large scale works, including two acrylic paintings by David Cook, while the three works in the exhibition by Lancaster-based Milan Ivanic are inspired by the River Lune and Morecambe Bay.
The exhibition also includes a number of ceramics, with a special display of earthenware by Anna Lambert, while jewellery and artist's cards are on sale.
Owner and curator Mary Gavagan said: "If you are looking for something special or just want to see art work by professional artists this exhibition provides an ideal opportunity to see a range of different styles in the unique setting of our new gallery at the Town Hall in Settle.”
The gallery is open on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday until December 23, 11am-4pm.
