A PRODUCTION of Les Misérables at South Craven School opened last night to rave reviews.
The Cross Hills school was flooded with glowing comments.
The show, which runs until tomorrow, is being put on entirely by pupils from years ten to 13.
"We are very proud of the professional performance experience they gave their audience," said a school spokesman today.
Headteacher, Dr Andrew Cummings, described it as "phenomenal".
"Fabulous performances from some very talented students," he added.
Many messages of praise were received from audience members.
"Absolutely staggeringly brilliant performances," said one. "I'm in awe of you all. Well done!"
"Completely blown away!" said another. "Goosebumps from beginning to end and lots of tears. What an amazing bunch of teachers and children!"
"Everyone was superb from start to finish," added a third.
