HOUSING association Horton Housing is part of a partnership helping people gain access to credit union services.

Working with Craven District Council, the aim is to to help those who have been turned down by a High Street bank.

Leeds Credit Union is a mutual 'non for profit' organisation that since being made available in Craven just last year, now has 46 members.

Members of the union can access loans at competitive rates of interest and can be used for a variety of needs, including pay day and start ups, for small businesses.

The organisation also offers affordable loan payments on top brand electrical goods with The Co-Operative electrical goods scheme.
