SKIPTON’S Ian Taylor is on top of the world after a masterful performance in Belgium on Saturday.
The 45-year-old struck gold in the World Masters Cyclo-Cross Championships which were staged at Mol.
Riding for C&N Cycles, Taylor powered to victory in the 45-49 men’s age group in a time of 42min 48sec.
He finished 18 seconds ahead of his nearest challenger. Experienced American rider Mark Savery, with Dutch rider Edwin Helmond a further four seconds back in third place.
