TWO Young Farmers have ploughed in cash to the Manorlands coffers.
Daniel Dobson and Jake Dewhurst tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks, raising £251 through sponsorship for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
The teenage duo completed the gruelling trek – which takes in Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough – in ten hours 50 minutes.
It was part of a Silsden Explorers challenge.
Daniel and Jake – from Cross Hills – handed over a cheque at a Craven District Young Farmers' Clubs public speaking competition, where they were representing the Lothersdale club.
Sue Ryder fundraiser Andrew Wood, who received the donation, said: "We are very grateful to the lads for supporting us and this great amount adds to the fantastic total that members of Lothersdale YFC have helped to raise for our care in the local area this year."
Anyone interested in raising money for Manorlands through a trek or other challenge is asked to contact the fundraising office on manorlands.fundraising@sueryder.org or 01535 640430.
