MORE money has been gifted to a mums' playground appeal to help them buy new equipment.

Work on phase one of the refurbishment of Gargrave play area has stalled because of the boggy condition of the land.

But mum of two Sarah Pawson, who has been spearheading the campaign for two years, is optimistic things will start to move come the spring.

"We're hoping that by spring drainage and installation will be near completion and we can start looking at purchasing equipment," she said.

Latest gift of £1000 had arrived thanks to Nick Sands of Gargrave based Belgrave Financial Services who had generously given £1000.

"To have a business like Belgrave Financial Services support us means a lot and we cannot thank them enough. We will ensure that their name will be added to the playground signage showing everyone who has supported us once the project is completed as a way of saying thankyou."
