INGLETON Theatre Group will present its 31st pantomime, The Snow Queen, starting next week.

The Snow Queen, will be staged from Wednesday to Saturday, March 4, at Ingleton Community Centre.

Hans Christian Andersen’s time-honoured tale is brought to the stage by local author, Sue Mosley, and is imaginatively recreated by talented artistes and a lively chorus of local youngsters.

The scene opens in the Royal Castle of Andersland where the King and Queen have decided that Princess Anya, a feisty tomboy, must marry.

Teased by her brother, Prince Darius, Anya is unaware that her heart is about to be stolen by the dashing Count Olav.

He will join her in her bid to rescue Darius, after he is kidnapped by the evil, twisted Snow Queen.

There are many obstacles to overcome along the way – the frozen wastes of Snow Mountain, bands of ruthless robbers and the Snow Queen’s evil henchmen.

Will Darius’s heart be frozen forever? Will love and goodness win the day? Will the Snow Queen get her just deserts?

Join the dedicated cast, chorus and crew for four performances which will take place at 7.30pm each evening.

Tickets, which cost £6 for adults and £4 concessions, are available by ringing Ingleton Community Centre during office hours on 015242 41701.
