CRAVEN people are being encouraged to complete an online health quiz.

Responses provide a 'health score' and link to free, personalised information and advice.

The initiative is part of the One You campaign, aimed at helping adults – particularly those in middle age – to 'take control' of their health.

Figures show that nearly one in five adults in Craven don't exercise enough.

North Yorkshire County Council is backing the campaign.

County Councillor David Chance, executive member for stronger communities and public health, said: "Lots of us spend our lives working very hard, not sleeping enough and not always having time to exercise, so it can be really difficult to prioritise our health.

"But it's vital to find out how well you really are, so that you can get the advice and support you need.

"It's never too late to improve your health and making small changes now can have a huge impact on your life in the future – it can even help to reverse some preventable diseases."
