A SKIPTON vets will be welcoming clients and local dog-owners to help them blow out the candles as they celebrate their first birthday.

Ashlands Veterinary Centre and Hospital - which also has branches in Ilkley and Glusburn– will be celebrating the first birthday of the Skipton branch this Sunday.

There will be fun and games throughout the day including a special photo booth for dogs and their owners to enjoy, and a chance to win some fantastic prizes.

Ashlands staff will also be on hand to give people an insight into the veterinary profession and will be offering a behind the scenes look at their modern veterinary surgery.

Entry is free with pet friendly treats and more available to purchase on the day, with all proceeds going to the Craven and Upper Wharfedale RSPCA.

The event will be held between 10am and 2pm.

Ashlands Vet Sam Burnell, said: “We are delighted to be celebrating our first birthday – it has been a great year and a party is an ideal way

to not only thank our clients for their support but to welcome people into the practice who want to find out more about what we do.

“We are really looking forward to the day and with all the fun and games planned there’s sure to be something for everyone to enjoy.”
