A CRAVEN charity that helps children with a range of difficulties, is on the hunt for a new chairman.

Home Start Craven, based in Cowling, has more than 40 volunteers and helps more than 300 children and families every year.

Over the last five years, its current chairman, Linda Will has helped the charity move from strength to strength. It has been successful in attracting substantial funding from the Big Lottery's Reaching Communities over a five year period, and securing staff jobs and allowing it to widen the scope of its activities.

But now, she has decided it is time to hand over to someone new.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time, but all organisations need new ideas and fresh thinking and that’s just the sort of input that a new chairman would bring. Home-Start Craven performs a really valuable role, reaching out to families from all over Craven. I really hope that we can attract a motivated and enthusiastic volunteer to help us to help even more families in the future”.
