OLDER children from Skipton Greatwood Community Primary School walked up to the top of Skipton Moor as part of their studies.

The eight and nine year olds walked up Shortbank Road to the moor as part of a topic on mountains.

On the way, they learnt map reading skills and studied the geography of the area before enjoying a packed lunch at the trig point.

And even though most of the children live in Skipton, some of them had never been so far up the moor.
