A DINNER lady has hung-up her apron after 27 years at Kildwick CE Primary School.

Mrs Pam Dewhurst was treated to a meal at the top table on her final day.

She was also serenaded by the children and received various cards and gifts, including a weekend away at a Pitlochry hotel and a Pandora charm.

During her time at the school, Mrs Dewhurst witnessed a raft of changes – including five different headteachers and an extension, which saw the pupil roll soar from 63 to 130.

"I am very sad to be leaving but am taking many happy memories with me," she said.
