POLICE are hunting the person responsible for trying to burgle a house in Kildwick.
North Yorkshire Police say the attempt in Kirkgate saw the offender smash a conservatory window before leaving in what may have been a dark coloured car. The incident happened at 2.30am on April 17.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "We're conducting enquiries and are requesting public assistance to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"We're appealing for information about any suspicious people or vehicles seen in the area at this time."
