CHILDREN'S charity Skipton Extended Learning for All (SELFA) is gearing up to take part in a one day festival of walks.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Skipton, the festival on Sunday, May 21, will be a chance for charities and community groups to raise much needed funds through sponsorship.
There will be six guided walks, ranging in length and taking from between one and six hours.
All will set off either from the town hall, or from Skipton Auction Mart, with some following routes in the town itself, including to Skipton Woods with 'Geocaching'. Others will venture out into the surrounding countryside, including to Flasby and a ten mile ramble.
Members of SELFA, based at Ings Community Primary School, Broughton Road, will be raising funds to buy equipment for holidays clubs and activities.
"This is a great opportunity for SELFA and we hope all of those taking part enjoy the day," said Emma Pears, charity co-ordinator for SELFA.
