A FAMILY from the Skipton area is celebrating the birth of a new child - and the gathering of five female generations.
Tiny Ella-Grace Floyd-Greenwood was born at Airedale Hospital - on Mother's Day - to mum Hayley Greenwood, of Cowling, making her the great-great granddaughter of Ella Cox, 86, of Aldersley Avenue, Skipton, as well as the great-granddaughter of Sheila Cox and the grand-daughter of Sarah Hunter!
Sarah, of Sharphaw Avenue, Skipton, said: "Ella-Grace is my first grand-daughter and she's a little gem. Hayley chose her name just because she liked it, but it does seem fitting that her great-grandmother is also called Ella.
"It was fantastic to get all five generations together, especially as my mum is usually over in France.
"My grandmother was really chuffed to hold Ella-Grace. She's 86 but she's a real live wire and lives life to the full!"
