A WOMAN with an 'unenviable' record of shoplifting will be subject to a curfew after admitting stealing from Skipton Morrisons.
Store staff were alerted by members of the public who saw Donna Marie Hardy leave the store on March 6 without paying for some goods, heard Skipton Magistrates Court.
Following a search, she was found at the nearby Skipton Railway Station with £71 of groceries in bags. She admitted what she had done to police at the time, and the goods were returned intact to the store.
Hardy, 42, who admitted theft, had previous convictions for shop theft and was subject to a community order for a similar offence given on March 30.
Hardy, of Wycliffe Gardens, Shipley, was given a community order with six weeks curfew from 7pm to 7am. She was also ordered to pay a surcharge of £85, which will be added to her current fines of £1,452.
