A WEEKEND of vintage fun is due to take place at Bentham Golf Club over the spring bank holiday weekend.

Following its overwhelming success last year, the free three day festival - from May 27 to May 29 - will return, with organisers hoping it will be bigger and better than before.

Festival goers will spend the weekend dressed in their vintage inspired outfits to give a real nostalgic vibe to the event.

On the last day, there will even be a 'vintage scramble on the green- when golfers will take to the course in vintage clothes.

Saturday’s attractions include a carefully curated collection of vintage themed pop-up shops for visitors to stock up on vintage homeware, fashion and local crafts.

Sunday will feature a vintage vehicle line up from British classics such as 1950’s Morris Minor tourer or the limited edition MG Jubilee and some old school jazz and swing with live music from Quay Change.

Food will have a retro theme, including chicken in the basket, and knickerbocker glories.

There will also be a range of Gatsby inspired cocktails, as well as non alcoholic mocktails.

And, to end the event, on Bank Holiday Monday, there will be a classic car boot sale, offering vintage artefacts - as well as a vintage scramble on the green, when golfers will be expected to observe the vintage dress code.

Bentham Golf Club is on Robin Lane, to take part in the vintage scramble will cost £10, bookable online on Bentham Golf Club website.
