A COUPLE fascinated by the work of artist David Hockney in East Yorkshire, have produced a beautifully written book exploring the history, geology, archaeology and the characters of the Yorkshire Wolds.
"The Yorkshire Wolds a journey of discovery" has been jointly written by Fleur and Colin Speakman and grew out of their love of the Wolds and their awareness there was no single comprehensive guide to the area.
The book has been published by Gritstone, a company formed by Colin and fellow outdoor authors, Andrew Bibby, Chris Goddard and Chiz Dakin. "The Yorkshire Wolds a journey of discovery" is the company's third book.
