TWO Craven schools have been recognised at a national level for their 'exceptional' GCSE results in 2016.
Settle College and Upper Wharfedale School are both in the top five per cent of schools across the country for progress, according to data analysis by the Schools, Students and Teachers Network.
They have been presented with an 'SSAT Educational Outcomes' award.
Andrew Taylor, executive headteacher of both schools, said the award was: “testimony to the hard work of all the students and staff. Through sharing outstanding and innovative practice in the classroom, we aim to build on this success in the future in order to ensure that all students leave the schools well-equipped for the next stage in their education or employment.”
