CARE charity Marie Curie is again encouraging people to brew up a storm throughout June by hosting tea parties to bring it a cash boost.
And the local campaign has been launched in Skipton at Helene's Tea Room by Keith Widdop, treasurer of the charity's Skipton and District fundraising group.
Marie Curie is encouraging people to get together with friends, family or colleagues to host a tea party, bake sale or special tea break to raise funds which will help it to provide care and support for people living with a terminal illness, and their families. The Skipton group is holding its own a Blooming Great Tea Party at Silsden Methodist Church on June 17, 10am-noon.
Keith said: “Holding a Blooming Great Tea Party really is a piece of cake. Just pick a date, send out some invites and simply brew a cuppa or two!"
