A LARGE quantity of high value animal medication has been stolen in an overnight raid on a supplier of veterinary medicines.
The thief struck at the Sidings industrial estate in Settle by forcing a padlock, turning away closed circuit television, breaking through breeze block and accessing the roof.
Triggering the alarm, the intruder also escaped loaded with vouchers and a considerable quantity of cash.
North Yorkshire Police Inspector Geoff Crocker said: "The medication was of high value and the items taken indicated the person had some knowledge of farming and veterinary medication."
The building was broken into between 10pm on Wednesday and 2am today Thursday.
Anyone who is offered cheap animal medication, or who has any information is asked to call North Yorkshire Police on 101 with reference number 0032 and ask for PC 1960 Barton.
