The Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation was called out to help after an 82-year-old walker got into difficulties yesterday.
The walker requested help due to feeling faint when trying to walk.
He was reported to have fallen earlier, and was now about 1/2 mile from Horton-in-Ribblesdale.
A nearby CRO team member met with the incident informant, was able to reach the casualty’s location and bring him down in a private vehicle.
After assessment, CRO team members deduced that the casualty’s condition was as a result of the very hot weather.
