TRAVELLERS who have been camped on Aireville Park in Skipton since Monday evening have been told they must leave by 11am next Monday, May 29.
Craven District Council has applied for an order to have the group evicted. There are around 30 caravans and vehicles, plus some horses, on the site.
A spokesman for the council said: "A welfare assessment has now been carried out on the traveller camp at Aireville Park and a Direction to Leave by 11am on Monday has been issued.
"If the travellers have not left the land by 11am on Monday we will take the necessary next steps to remove the encampment."
