BIG crowds turned out to celebrate Carnival Bentham last Saturday.
After assembling in the Horse and Farrier car park, the procession headed down the High Street before finishing at the Bentham Auction Mart, where there was a a funfair and traditional stalls.
This year the theme was vintage dress and decorated umbrellas, an activity which was done by the children.
Entertainment was provided by Baybeat street band and other acts, including Atomic Brass and Back of Beyond, who performed on the new Melodrome stage.
There was also a Bentham’s Got Talent show on the Melodrome stage.
Bentham resident Richard Bayley said: "There was quite a big crowd at Carnival Bentham. It was a really good day and the weather was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed themselves."
