TWO of Craven’s celebrated veteran sportsmen are take to the stage as part of this year’s Grassington Festival.

On Monday Roger Ingham and Ian ‘Adge’ Douglass will be sitting side by side sharing their memories and anecdotes of one of the area’s most iconic agricultural shows and sports – Kilnsey Show.

Both feature in the book Studs & Crooks by Victoria Benn, which was published last year and uncovers the hidden history of the show.

Roger, the voice of the Crag Race, will be laying bare the stories and history of this event, and former deputy head of Ermysteds Grammar School, Ian, well known as the voice of early morning Kilnsey Show, as well as being the voice of Wharfedale RUFC for nearly 30 years, will be revealing the humorous stories from his years on the tannoy.
