THE Farnhill and Kildwick Scarecrow Festival is set to take place next month.
The scarecrow festival, which includes a family fun day, will be held in the two villages from Friday, August 18, to Sunday, August 20, with the fun day and barbecue taking place at the White Lion in Kildwick on the Sunday.
The fun day starts at 2pm and prizes will be awarded at 5pm for Best Scarecrows - Public Choice, Best Scarecrows - Judges Choice, Most Scarecrows Identified and Find Five Mini Scarecrows - Kids Only.
Participants in the scarecrow festival should make and site their own scarecrow, and register it at the White Lion by Wednesday, August 16. Only registered scarecrows will be judged.
Judging forms will also be available at the White Lion from Friday, August 18. They should be returned by 4pm on Sunday, August 20.
