The A59 was closed for several hours between Gisburn and Bracewell after a serious road accident.
Lancashire Road Police says the lorry that had left the road was recovered at around 6.30pm and the road was re-opened soon after that.
A Mercedes lorry came off the road after it was involved in a crash with a Vauxhall Vivaro van.
A 25-year-old has been taken to hospital by ambulance with a shoulder injury.
The accident happened just after noon today.
