A YORKSHIRE Dales tearoom is throwing open its garden gates and inviting visitors to explore an authentic cottage garden.
The West Winds Tearooms garden will go on show from Saturday, July 22 to Sunday, July 30, excluding Monday and Tuesday, from 12.30pm to 5.30pm.
People can enjoy a flower-border tea-garden, a kitchen vegetable, herb and fruit garden, a greenhouse and wild flower areas
There is a herb trail that takes in around 50 cultivated and wild culinary, medicinal and potpourri plants and edible flowers are also being grown, including nasturtium, borage and chives.
To add to the feast there are wild flower areas, a pocket forest, a DIY hedgehog hotel to copy at home, wood sculptures, spring-loaded raised beds, green pest control techniques and water recycling and composting systems.
And information will be available from the Wildlife Trusts on how to make your own garden wildlife-friendly
