SKIPTON Building Society is celebrating after winning a national award for the fourth year in a row.

The building society, based at The Bailey, Skipton, was named Best National Building Society in the 2017 What Mortgage Awards.

It followed four months of consumers voting for their favourite businesses.

Now in its 24th year, the What Mortgage Awards recognise and reward the very best businesses in the country's mortgage and associated personal finance markets.

David Cutter, Group Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to win this prestigious award for the fourth year running. To be named Best National Building Society in the What Mortgage Awards gives us great satisfaction and is testament to the hard work our colleagues put in right across the organisation. They are committed to putting the customer first and providing a great service to mortgage brokers.”

The building society has also been included for the third year running as one of the top 100 companies to work for in the Sunday Times annual poll.

And, last month, it was highly commended in the Most Trusted Savings and Cash ISA provider category in the Moneywise Customer Service awards.
