BOLTON Abbey will welcome Robin Hood and his Merry Men to the estate as the Gobbledigook Theatre group returns to put on another thrilling show of outdoor theatre.

Following the huge success of Wind in the Willows last summer, performers from the Yorkshire-based theatre group will present Robin Hood starting today and running until Sunday, August 6.

The play will see Gobbledigook transport audiences back to medieval England for an immersive and highly entertaining experience.

Performed in a ‘promenade’ style, attendees young and old alike will be given the chance to follow the adventure from the River Wharfe, over the stepping stones and through surrounding woodland into the Priory Ruins.

Tickets are selling out fast for the show, which will also invite audiences to join the cast in a woodland camp singalong and toast to Robin Hood himself.

Performances, lasting approximately two hours with a 30-minute interval, will run twice daily in 2pm matinee and 6.30pm evening showings, with tickets including free admission to Bolton Abbey for the day.
