A 20-YEAR-OLD barber is celebrating her first year running a business set up by her grandfather 24 years ago, by giving free hair cuts.

And to mark the occasion, Kathryn Collins, who is in charge of wielding the scissors at Skipton Barbers on Belmont Bridge, wants to raise money for a charity aimed at supporting men with mental health problems.

Customers are being invited to contribute to a charity box on Wednesday, August 2, between 9.30am and 7pm, in aid of AndysManClub established following the death of Andy Roberts who took his own life in 2016, aged 26

"Everyday it is a challenge but with my employees and fellow barbers I couldn't have done it without them. I'd also like to thank the customers for being so loyal and who keep coming back after all after 24 years," said Kathryn.
