THE best A level results in four years are being celebrated at Ermysted's Grammar School in Skipton.
Nearly one in five entries returned the top grade of A* and overall 71.3 percent of entries were graded at A* to B. Headmaster, Michael Evans, congratulated the students on their achievements and said that the grades were just reward for their efforts over the year.
This was a particularly strong cohort with ten boys securing at least three A*s and five securing four.
Eleven students gained admission to Oxford or Cambridge and fifteen students won places at top medical schools. "Across the year group, the students leave to pursue an eclectic range of subjects, with strong representation from the arts as well as the sciences.
"Whatever the destination of our students, we are very proud of them all and wish them every success in the next phase of their education or employment.”
