GIGGLESWICK Horticultural Society's 76th Annual Open Show was opened by Mark Rand and staged at Giggleswick Junior School Pavilion.
Organisers praised the very high standard of entries in all classes - vegetables, flowers, fruit, culinary, decorative, art, eggs, handicrafts, children's classes and photography.
Prizes were awarded as follows:
Fruit and Vegetables: Wright Cup and 10 points 1-24 Geoff Knights; Maj Batty Trophy and £5 best in 1 and 2 Geoff Knights; David Gardener Voucher best in 12 Geoff Knights; Saffrey Cup best in class 13 John Reid; Best in classes 25-29 Bill Procter.
Flowers: Norman Pratt Cup most points 30-53 Frances Sample; Edmondson Cup best in roses Glena Villanueva; Booth Memorial Cup most points 1-53 Geoff Knights; Dut Cup best exhibit 1-53 Geoff Knights.
