AN "outstanding" set of GCSE results were celebrated by year 11 students at Ermysted’s Grammar School in Skipton - the best in five years.
Over two-thirds of entries resulted in grade A or grade seven and above. In total, 71 boys secured six As or better and 64 achieved seven or better.
Top performers Santosh Guru, Duncan Marsden and Jamie Macdonald led the field securing a coveted grade nine in each of the new GCSEs.
They were joined by Jonathan Rampley-Sturgeon, Thomas Broadbent, George Carey, Finlay Morrison and Samuel Morrison who each secured at least nine A*s.
Headteacher, Michael Evans, congratulated all the boys on their excellent performance and said:“These results are as equally impressive as last week’s outstanding A-level results and bode well for the years ahead.”
