VETERANS from Skipton branch of the Royal Air Forces Association will hold their annual 'Battle of Britain' parade on Sunday, September 10.
The parade starts at the bottom of Chapel Hill at 5.45pm before marching to the High Street war memorial for a wreath-laying ceremony at 6pm, followed by a memorial service at Holy Trinity Church at 6.30pm.
After the service the parade will reassemble at The Bailey to march down the High Street where the salute will be taken, before moving along Newmarket Street for the dismiss at Court Lane.
A buffet for members will be held at the RAFA headquarters in Moorview Way.
The Battle of Britain wings collection will take place in Skipton on Saturday, September 23, and there will be a stall in Craven Court from the previous Monday.
