PEOPLE interested in the future of health services following the closure of Castleberg Hospital, Giggleswick earlier this year because of safety concerns are being urged to attend on going information drop in sessions.

Drop ins have already taken place across Craven, and will continue until the middle of the month.

They are open to anyone who wants to contribute to the discussions about intermediate, end-of-life and palliative care services in the Craven, following the temporary withdrawal of services at the hospital.

A formal consultation on the future of the services is due to start later in the year, but before then, the NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) says it wants to talk to as many people as possible to find out what matters to them, what they need from services and the best ways of consulting them.

Remaining sessions will be held on Thursday (September 7) at the Devonshire Institute, Main Street, Grassington, from 5pm to 7pm; and on Friday, September 15 at Bentham Golf Club, Robin Lane, from 11am to 1pm.

A meeting reported in the Craven Herald due to have taken place today (Tuesday) at Skipton Town Hall was wrongly reported as taking place this evening and actually took place between 8.30am and 10.30am this morning. We apologise for any confusion. To take part in the consultation, email engage@awcccg.nhs.uk or complete the website form at: airedalewharfedalecravenccg.nhs.uk/castleberg-hospital.
