TODAY marks the 170th anniversary of the arrival of the railway in Skipton.
To mark the occasion, local historian Peter Bewes will give an illustrated talk reviewing 40 years of change at Skipton station.
The talk will be held at 7.30pm on Monday, September 11, in Herriots Hotel (opposite the railway station).
The Friends of Airedale Line are sponsoring this free event. All are welcome.
