THE congregation of a church in one of the most beautiful parts of the Dales is getting set for a harvest festival which will take place over three days.

On Saturday, September 16, St Leonard's Church in Chapel-le-Dale, near Ingleton, hosts a display of harvest goods in the church, open to visitors form 10am to 4pm, when tea and scones will be served.

There is a service with hymns and readings on Sunday, September 17, and on the Monday at 7.30pm there is an auction of harvest goods and a potato pie and peas supper. All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the church.

There is also a jumble sale being held on November 4, also for church funds.
