GRASSINGTON woman Lois Grinstead, a contemporary dancer and aerial artist, has spent the summer working on Georges Bizet's opera Carmen.
The event took place on a floating stage at Lake Constance in Bregenz, Austria.
Approximately 130 artists were involved, including singers, dancers and stunt performers.
Lois worked as part of the stunt team, dancing, fighting, doubling for Carmen leaping into Lake Constance and performing 30 metres in the air.
Lois auditioned for the part through Wired Aerial Theatre, Liverpool, and was chosen as the only female stunt performer from 80 female auditionees.
Although Carmen on the Lake will be screened in cinemas across the country, locally the opera will be shown at 7pm on Thursday at the Richard Whiteley Theatre in Giggleswick.
Advance tickets cost £12, £10 concessions and are available by visiting giggleswick.ticketsolve.com. Tickets on the door cost £15, £13 concessions.
