A DENTAL nurse from Steeton will be heading to Morocco this autumn to provide much-needed dental care for youngsters in remote mountain villages.
Emma Young, who works at Taylored Dental Care's surgeries in Keighley and Ilkley, will travel as part of a team being led by the Dental Mavericks charity.
She will be in Morocco for one week this October, moving from one location to another to provide immediate, free, accessible treatment for children who would not normally have this provision.
Mrs Young, 32, is following in the footsteps of Carl Taylor, principal dentist at Taylored Dental Care, who went to Morocco as part of this same charity programme last year.
She said: "I've been to Morocco before, though this trip will be a very different experience.
"The people there are lovely, their hospitality is wonderful and the help we'll be giving them could be life-changing.
"It'll be a steep learning curve, as we'll be dealing with small children, and there's the language barrier too.
"I'm going as part of a team from different parts of the UK, which will mostly include dentists and dental nurses."
