Rail passengers travelling north from Skipton on the Leeds-Morecambe line are facing disruption today.

Poor weather conditions overnight between Wennington and Carnforth means a rail replacement service is operating from Wennington, as services are suspended between Wennington and Lancaster.

Disruption is expected to continue until the end of service today.

National Rail say the shuttle train service will run between Morecambe and Lancaster.

Rail replacement transport will be in operation, in both directions, between Wennington and Lancaster / Heysham Port (as required).
