INDIFFERENT weather could not put a damper on the spirits of visitors and competitors at Lothersdale Young Farmers' 83rd annual show.

There was a bumper turnout in the sheep classes, as well as in classes for hens, dogs, tractors and machinery.

There were also well-supported baking and handicraft entries, and a good turnout for the annual fell race. Organisers have thanked the Smith family for the loan of their field for the event, sponsors, all those who gave raffle prizes and those who acted as stewards on the day.
