SKIPTON office workers switched their desks for mud, barbed wire and electric fences as they took on the Yorkshire Warrior Challenge to raise money for charity.

Katie Falkner, Angus Moffat, Lucy Armitage and Rob Booth, from H and M Accountants, Alma Terrace, completed a 10km route, which also saw them having to carry sandbags and logs at the fifth annual event, held at Ripley Castle, Harrogate.

But, at the end, they were delighted to have raised £660 for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.

Molly Ralphson, community fundraiser for the Skipton area for Manorlands said: “We are delighted with the team who did this all off their own backs and raised such a fantastic amount. We really need people like this in our community who do make a difference to the care we provide. All care services at Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice are free of charge to patients and their families and this wouldn’t be possible without local people fundraising for us.”
