A WALKER who fell and broke her leg was rescued as poor weather set in.
Cave Rescue Organisation members attended the scene at Trow Gil, Clapham, at 2.15pm on Saturday.
A female walker, aged 51, had slipped on the wet cobble track and sustained a fracture to her lower right leg.
The team was called to assist, but as the weather conditions were poor and the casualty's party had little to shelter her with, they moved her down to the office of the Ingleborough Show Cave. Team members provided casualty care and conveyed her down to its depot in Clapham, to be taken to hospital by an ambulance.
