A PICTURE donated by Maurice Lee from the Grumbleweeds raised over £1,000 for the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association.
Mr Lee made the donation to the Grassington 1940s Weekend and organisers held a silent auction during the event, with the winning bid going to John Brown.
The picture was recently presented to Mr Brown at a cheque presentation to the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association.
"I'd like to thank Maurice for donating the picture and John for winning the bid," said John Benson, chairman of the Grassington 1940s Weekend committee. "John has always been a huge Grumbleweed fan and he feels very privileged to receive the picture from Maurice, who signed the back of it."
