GLUSBURN Primary School has done the ‘double-double’ as pupils won the same two soccer tournaments they won last year.
The school’s best soccer players competed in the School Sports’ Partnership Cluster Round at South Craven School in Cross Hills.
The school entered a year four/five mixed gender team into the lower Key Stage 2 competition, alongside a year five/six boys’ team in the upper Key Stage 2 competition.
Both teams won their respective tournaments, with the year five/six team going on to compete at the School Sports’ Partnership Craven Finals representing the South Craven District.
School head Richard Hunt said: “Having won both tournaments last season too, this is a unique double-double success!
“This is on top of our recent success last month, winning the South Craven Cluster Cross Country tournament. Eight of our children will now be representing the whole of Craven in the North Yorkshire Finals in March 2018.”
