MORE than 50 real ales from breweries across Yorkshire will be tempting drinkers to the third annual Wharfedale Beer Festival, which takes place at Grassington Town Hall on Friday and Saturday, November 10 and 11.

And as in previous years, local charities and community projects will benefit from the event, which is organised by the Wharfedale Charitable Trust with support from the Upper Wharfedale Community Interest Company.

As well as real ales, drinkers can also sample a selection of real ciders, lagers, wines and gins, and indulge in pork pies, pasties and sausage rolls provided by Kendall’s Farm Butchers of Pateley Bridge.

There will also be music from Dr Bob and the Bluesmakers, tribute band U2-2, Mark Frith and Hardwicke Circus.

Sports enthusiasts are not left out, with TV coverage of England football and rugby union games during the event.

There is a special 'sponsors' session to be held at Grassington Town Hall on the Friday afternoon, followed by public sessions on the Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening.

Tickets are £10 per session and include four food and drink tokens, and six on Saturday afternoon.

The festival is again sponsored by estate agents Dale Eddison.

Trustee Gerard Simpson said: "We have pushed the boat out with our music offering this year and I’m pleased to say tickets are selling fast once again.

"We hope for another sell-out, with over 1,200 people visiting Grassington over the weekend."

Further information can be found on the festival website www.wharfedalebeer

Tickets are also on sale at the Flying Duck in Ilkley, the Sound Bar in Skipton, the Craven Arms in Appletreewick, the Foresters Arms and the Wine Shop in Grassington and the Blue Bell in Kettlewell.
