ORGANISERS of a first-ever Christmas Craft Fair to be held in a Settle pub are hoping to make a major splash.

For cash raised at the event, on Saturday, November 18, at the Royal Oak, will go to Settle Swimming Pool.

The fair will feature local crafts and home-made produce, and fees from stall-holders will go to to the pool fund.

It starts at 11am and runs through the afternoon.

The event has been organised by Janis Eaton and her daughter Stephanie Olsen, of homemade skincare company Aroma Indulgence, who have a stall at the Royal Oak's indoor market every Tuesday.

Janis, of Ingleton, said: “If you would like to come along, not only will you be supporting a worthy local cause but you will also be giving yourselves a great treat and supporting local businesses too.

"All stallholders will be donating a raffle prize, with proceeds from the raffle also being donated to Settle swimming pool.

"We’ve always loved supporting local businesses and I think that people are starting to really appreciate the value of handcrafted gifts more than mass produced items.”
