MEMBERS of Glusburn and Cross Hills Parish Council will unveil the names of those who gave their lives during World War Two.

The names of 22 men are on a new plaque which will be added to the memorial at Park Street, Cross Hills.

The service will be held at 10.45am on Saturday by the memorial.

The memorial currently carries a plaque to commemorate the fallen from World War One, which was unveiled on November 11, 2014, by Sir Edward Horsfall, Baronet of Hayfield.

The parish council is also publishing a booklet to commemorate this event, which will be available on the day and copies will also be given to local schools and the South Craven Community Library.

Refreshments will be served after the service in Cross Hills Rest Centre, where there will be a display of photographs.

Everyone is welcome.
